Training: Lezarro Hulo

Post by Jools Noctru »

Blue is my Game Master (GM) voice. Please consider everything said in blue to be Out-Of-Character (OOC).

Before we start training, I would like you to post your character background story. Go into as much detail as you like. This is very important, because every character in the Combine needs to know where they come from, and what type of person they are. Once you have posted your background, we will proceed with your training.

You hold a datapad firmly in your hand. You open up the datapad and lights flicker across the screen as the device comes to life. Words start filling the screen rather rapidly.

...Track Record for Lance Corporal Lezarro Hulo
...Welcome!

Characteristics

Name: Lezarro Hulo
Race: Zabrak
Homeworld: Iridonia
Height: 1.9 meters
Weight: 90 kg
Hair color: None
Eye color: Amber
Age: 45 (still somewhat fresh age for a Zabrak)
Distinct Features: Horns all over his head and has Zabraki tattoos (of no color, just lines) on his face. Light tan skin. In combat, he wears a re-done set of Heavy Combat Armor. Usually doesn't wear the helmet outside of intense combat requiring all safety precautions.

Lezarro has been described as a people's person. However, he has no qualms with fending his own in solitary conditions, such as survival of harsh environment. He is very proficient in what he does and constantly strives to go beyond his fourth next goal. He is also a very determined character. If he puts his mind to something, don't expect him to give up at all. He's a natural-born fighter, both physically and personality-wise. He is very loyal to the few who become close with him. Even though he is a loving person, he will do whatever it takes to get the job done. No matter what.

Background
Lezarro was born on the planet Iridonia. He was born to a small village of refugees from a civil war that erupted on Iridonia. He was born to the family that was in charge of the village, allowing him better living conditions than the others. As soon as he was able to walk, the village combat instructor shoved a staff into his hand, forcing him to put countless arduous days of blistering training in to better his combat ability. Alongside weapons training, Lezarro also learned hand to hand combat, like any good Zabrak did. Soon after his coming of age, he was a weapons and unarmed combat expert. He used these skills to hunt the great beasts of the land, bringing back food for his village. Armed with just a spear, Lezarro could single-handedly fell a reek. It was only later that he actually learned how to fire a blaster rifle.

Lezarro soon had the opportunity to travel to the capital city of Iridonia to receive further training in his combat skills. Lezarro signed into the Iridonian military, becoming a soldier for the capital city. There, he learned how to properly shoot a blaster pistol and rifle. He even held the highest record for best shot in the entire city. Lezarro served his time as a soldier, learning what he could of survival, weapons, and tactics of war. There, in the Iridonian capital, Lezarro's love for battle had sparked. Lezarro served the military and led platoons of men through several skirmishes on Iridonia. He didn't lose a single man and defeated his opposition wherever he went. Lezarro was a true killing machine.

Lezarro started hearing rumors of a government in the deep galactic south and was curious. He asked all around the city in hopes of information on the government down there and discovered The Krath Dynasty. He found several archives of Krath policies and doctrines and decided that it was the path for him. Lezarro loved the neutral take on the galaxy. He ventured back to his hometown to say his goodbyes and then he took off for the government in the south. He spent several days in hyperspace, where he made arrangements with The Krath Dynasty as to his fate. Ultimately, he decided that the military held the most promise for him, so he signed up for the Marine Division, seeing as how he was much more adept at ground combat than piloting ships. He arrived in Shesharile and received his basic draft gear and started into his new life as a marine for The Krath Dynasty.

The training consists of a number of situations for you to react to. Unless otherwise stated, these situations do not follow on from one to the next. You will be told what are you are expected to focus on in which section.

In Description and Tone, you must focus entirely on the describing the scene set before you and establishing a tone to the area. Do not worry about combat just yet.

You have landed at the spaceport of a planet in the outer rim that reminds you vaguely of home. It is not too special but it has a lot of people, and for the most part they seem friendly enough. You can hear the sounds of an outdoor market from not too far away, and you notice a grouping of large tents off to the south. There is a sign next to the tents but you can't read it from here. You realize you are hungry as the smells of food reach you from the market and you can only conclude that there are the usual array of bars, restaurants and food vendors in the small town around the spaceport.

Stepping out from the Delta-class Shuttle, Lezarro took in his surroundings of the crowded, backwater locale. He scans the crowd for any signs of interest. None. The bustling crowd consisted of countless species of alien, all hurriedly making their way to their destinations. Ithorians, Devaronians, Rodians, Corellians, Zeltron, Bith, Duros. Paying him no mind, the lone Zabrak made his way through the crowd to a grouping of tents to the south. Upon reaching them, he noticed a small sign beside the closest tent that read "Marketplace".

Peering through most of the bantha-skin tents, Lezarro only saw trinkets and primitive weapons. Deciding against getting himself a souvenir spear, he turned his back on the marketplace and prepared to dive back into the crowd. A delectable aroma filled Lezarro's nostrils and he was instantly reminded of his homeworld. The scent took him back to the day he left his homeworld, Iridonia. It was a warm stew set with dumplings.

It took several moments for Lezarro to realize how like his homeworld this backwater planet was. The orange tinted sky, the rocky arid terrain. The smell of the dumplings and stew. It brought the Zabrak a big smile. He continued on into the crowd and decided to chase the aroma that was pervading his nose. He shoved his way toward the smell, trying his best not to anger any locals. He arrived to a small and quaint cantina. For a busy backwater city such as this, the cantina was a ghost town. About ten people were scattered about the tables and holes in the wall, giving an empty air. But the aroma that filled Lezarro's nose filled that void.

OOC: I figured that was a good start. Didn't wanna take it out of hand.
