Being a non-fighter type Correl freezes for a moment at being fired at which prompts Arlunia to smack him on the head yet again to bring him out of it.

"Comms! You ninny!" Arlunia growls at him. "That panel there on the left, boss." She finishes quietly.

Correl reaches over and presses the comm hailing the unidentified ships and hailing his sister ship,"Unidentified ships break off attack and prepare to be boarded! Otherwise you will be annihilated!" Correl growls into the comm. "ES Koros, tighten up and lets fly rings around these jokers!"

The initial anger over the Aqualish disturbance quickly faded and Kal was once again composed and alert, his mind calculating tactics and manuvers as he monitered the fighters flight patterns. The ES Koros, an ATR-6, was well equipped for this kind of action and it was actually foolish to attack with so small a force. 4 Y-wings against two ATR-6's was hardly a challenge. How they got so close with out being scanned was however hard to understand still.
Kal fell into position beside the ES Kuros giving enough room to avoid hitting one another in the event of missle or torpedo attack but close enough to overlap firing arcs. Kal opened the comms after studying for a moment.
ES Kuros, This one think's we have the upper hand. just fly straight to our destination and divert power to the sheilds. We have 4 Turbolasers each plus forward Ion cannons and Proton torpedo launchers. Have the gunners try to force the Y-wings to fly infront of us and open up with ion cannons, we should disable the enemy fighters quickly enough and any that won't fly into range will get picked off by the gunners anyway. Stay in formation as long as we can to give the gunners a steady firing platform.
Kal closed the comms and set the ship to fly striaght then grabbed the cockpit controls for the Turbo laser turrets. With out hesitation kal began firing at the Y-wings trying to drive them into the forward fire arc where they could be hit with ion cannons and proton torpedos.

"Mandro, I like the way you think, I'll pull up next to them" He said as the comms came online. "Koros, if possible, lets disable them for the sake of information" He then swung his ship around, and gunned his engines to catchup with the slower y-wings. "Correl, do you know how to fire Ion Cannons?"

Jerking awake at the co-pilots console, Verdre remembered just why the unknown regions exploration mission had seemed such a good idea. He was getting old for this, Grev was far younger and awake than he was.

Hearing Kal spell out the plan, Verdre switched turbolaser controls to the co-pilot position and fired a few random shots on the rear arc while he plugged in an external device. On demand from the console, he loaded the program and from the options list selected 'Nerf Herder'. In the second list he selected 'Forward Arc' then hit execute. The console returned an error but with a few seconds of work he had improved program compatibility to work with the interfaces aboard an ATR.

Verdre's screen returned to show what seemed like a standard targetting screen with a sidebar IFF List. Designating the ATR as friendly and deselecting all but turbolasers, he punched in a 5 second engage. At 2 seconds, he realised a serious issue and quickly selected the 'multiple control lines' option, that would allow Kal and the gunner access to all other weapons.

"Vod, I've borrowed the lasers, they should help us with your plan. I'll contact our colleagues and try to co-ordinate our fire!" he told Kal quickly, while punching the comm for the same line Kal had used.

"ATR, if you hold by our flank then fire your turbos south through west through north, we'll be mirroring your efforts. The idea is we designate a target and sweep it into the front firing arc...matching our sweep slightly above and below its elevation with our turbos. Watch the example, ask for the program if you want it!"

While Verdre spoke the program executed..turbolaser fire began targetting one of the Y wings in the south arc, 2 firing above and 2 firing below it in a vertical line. As the fighter dodged to avoid by moving east, the turbos continued fire and tracking it, pushing it towards the northern arc....

FInar tumbled back into the crew area as the aqualish pushed past him. Grumbling he picked himself up and contemplated momentarily enacting his revenge on the brutish thugs. After a moment of thought he decided better, leaving the fighting with the new crew to a later and more appropriate time. Not being an adept freighter pilot or fighter, FInar opted for the next best thing. Taking a seat he strapped himself in, eying the Aqualish the entire time.

Quietly he checked his weapons to ensure they were still in tact, and then he settled back to await the outcome of the battle.

"Good idea, Ori'vod. Following suit" He said, as he followed suit. He pressed a few buttons on the console, "Correl, you have guns."

Correl listens to the chatter and realizes he can shoot now, grinning he reaches for the trigger and starts firing, but forgets to pick a target. Thankfully Arlunia punches him out of the seat and sits down and takes over. "Boss! I think for this part of the run I will sit here, you go play with the other guns. it will be much safer! Now get moving, boss!"

Correl nods reluctantly eyeing the pilots chair and heads off,"Sorry guys, just having a strange day. I shouldn't have a problem with the Turbo lasers though as I really am good with them." As he exits the cockpit and heads to the turbo laser turrets.

"I swear, if it wasn't for you, Arlunia, Correl would probably be dead. Welcome to the bridge. You know what our maneuver is?" the Mandalorian says to the Barabel who had replaced the previous co-pilot.

Some random sods were talkin and planin and mandro as always got bored and thus recalibrated the range setting on the gun so they fired in wall form and began shooting at the thingy mabober that was now annoying him. It was super effective at arking the ship almost exactly to were the talkeypeople wanted it. Man he couldn't wait to walk on land.

Kal Grinned behind his mask as th Y-wing dipped down away from Mandro's attack and right into position to be hit with Ion Cannons. Kal gripped the fire control deftly and leading the ship a little fired right into it's path. The ship took a direct hit from both forward cannons and seemed to lose power after mere seconds. Kal was pleased to see the crackle of eletricity in the cockpit of the enemy ship.

One down three to go Kuros. Kal said across the com to the Koros' sister ship.
