Prologue:
Current Location
Sector: Inner Cluster
System: Prindaar
Planet: Antar

A datapad slid across the polished counter into the hands of a large Zabrak. The screen lit up in a warm glow and the massive brute looked over the contents of the data. The message was from the Director of Intelligence himself. It was a debriefing.
Recipient: Cuyan Hulo
"Good evening, commander. It is time to put your abilities to the test once again. We have reports that confirm a high risk data payload has been intercepted by a group of criminals. Further intelligence confirms motive to sell the data to the Empire. It is imperative that the data be returned before it falls into Imperial hands. Our sources have pinpointed their location to a casino, run in the squalor of the greed-filled cities on Loedorvia. Corleone Casinos. It resides in the industrial sector of Bon Temps, a developing locality. You have been tasked with assembling a strike force to infiltrate this casino, secure the payload, and capture their ringleader. He is wanted alive for...internal affairs. You have your mission. You have 72 hours to complete it."

-Director of Krath Central Intelligence
A look of surprise took the Zabrak's face as he finished the orders. "Finally, some classic action. I've been bored of the endless administration work!" The Zabrak then stood up and made his way to the Holocommunications systems. He pressed a few buttons, summoning the holographic interface and began feverishly inputting keystrokes. He then rested his hands from the holo-keyboard and read over his work with a slight smile.
Recipient: Kiel Danga, Saheen Tinkerleesh, Kalzel Gryjiss
"Attention officers, report to my quarters immediately. You will be briefed here. We are expected to leave within the next few hours. Do not worry about bringing gear, I have your equipment ready."

-Vanguard Cuyan Hulo
He then stepped from the HoloCom and approached his study's wall, and pushed a smooth nook on the corner. The wall, with ease, slid open to reveal a personal armory hidden from snooping eyes. Tactical armors and blasters lined the false wall. Cuyan selected his beskar'gam brandishing the symbol of his clan, Aliit Choruk. The armor had hues of burgundy lined throughout, and was weathered from years of conflict. He changed into the battle armor and selected holstered dual ELG-3A's to his belt. He then holstered the sheath of his vibroblade, Fang, on his back and fastened the blade into place. He continued fastening the rest of his gear into place as he waited for the officers to arrive.

-----------
OOC:
You should post your initial conditions and trip up to the quarters, including entering. Try and use complete sentences, and expand on the descriptions of what you see, what you smell, etc. Unlike what I posted above, I want you to really dig into the imagery of what your characters are seeing. When speaking in character, use quotation marks of course and bold and italicize your speech to help differentiate between descriptions and speech. Make sure your entire post is in past tense to make the flow easier to read for others.

As for gear, do not worry about bringing any equipment. You'll automatically be supplied with that according to your choosing. I will look over everyone's skill spreads and see what everyone is best at. Try and go off of that when it comes time for equipment being loaned out. Pretty much any weapon is up for grabs, but I'll elaborate in my next (and first GM) post.

Lastly, some hints to start you with. You start at a pristine military base, mainly white and light gray walls. We will begin in the my quarters, which is rested centrally on top of the compound. The quarters are more of a penthouse, though the debriefing room is the room pictured above. There's a view from the penthouse/commander's quarters. Mainly gas and clouds, but you can see the rest of the base from here. There's a personal landing pad on top of the penthouse where we will board ship.

Saheen was eating a meal in the facility's cafeteria when he got the message on his comm watch.

"Attention officers, report to my quarters immediately. You will be briefed here. We are expected to leave within the hour. Do not worry about bringing gear, I have your equipment ready."
-Vanguard Cuyan Hulo

He then finished his meal and gave the dish to one of lower ranked and exited the cafeteria. He walked up to the penthouse admiring all the military medals along the halls. When he arrived he looked around the room. There were medals lining one of the walls. He looked to the other side of the room and noticed a row of windows looking out at the planet. When he looked towards the center of the room he noticed Cuyan sitting at a desk.

"Ready for my orders Vanguard Cuyan." said Saheen.

Kalzel was bored. Bored beyond measure and angry as well. Thanks to his former CO and his 'abrupt leave' from the KCF, his entire fleet was now suspended and investigated to eliminate any possible accomplices the Mirialan might've left behind. For Kalzel, it meant having nothing to do as well as being branded as a possible ally to a traitor. There was nothing he could've done then and nothing they would let him do now. He had spent the last hour in complete stillness lying on his bed inside the Krath base. Reaching out, he gripped an imaginary sword and swung his arm in a vertical cleave, bifurcating the would-be enemy directly below the ribcage. He was getting rusty. As he finally got out of the bed, he massaged his temples and moved towards the comms. Maybe something had changed, maybe there was an update, maybe he could finally get back to work...
Incoming message from Cuyan Hulo.
"Yes!"

"Attention officers, report to my quarters immediately. You will be briefed here. We are expected to leave within the hour. Do not worry about bringing gear, I have your equipment ready."

-Vanguard Cuyan Hulo
"YEESS!!"

Kalzel almost jumped for joy. He was back in business. Stretching his limbs, he set the course directly to the cantina and bought himself a whiskey shot, as per usual before an assignment. The mission awaited.
Several hours later, he was already back in his comfortable jacket and trousers, with a small Krath insignia emblazoned on his left shoulder, as well as his decals on the right. A combat knife tucked in his boot, a wicked smile on his lips, he swung open the door and stepped into Cuyan's office.

"Guardian Kalzel Gryjiss reporting for duty!"

As Kiel opened his eyes he saw the bright shine of an underwater air bubble slowly making way to the top surface of the water. A smile on his face as he swam about, using his finned ears, hands, and feet to propel forward; rather aimlessly. The water loving gungan had been relaxing in the fitness wing of the military base. It included the large deep water pool he was currently in. Just not long ago Kiel had been hunted, and barely escaped capture from imperial spies. Southern fleet was suspended. Kiel would be under a light 'house arrest' until further investigation, so why not take advantage of what the base had to offer? However, he knew it would not be an endless vacation in paradise. There had to have been some new work for him somewhere along the lines. Just as that thought surfaced from the back of his head his tranquil resting was interrupted by a unique chime coming from a device on his wrist. As Kiel stood hovering, his finger touched the small silver disk the dimly lit up when the chime sounded. The familiar image of a Zabrak known to him as Vanguard Cuyan Hulo. His transparent blue image appeared standing on the silver disk. The water somewhat distorted the structure and sound quality of the massage. . .
"A**ention office****s, report *o my quar**erss immedia*ely. You will be brief**d here. We are expe**ed to leave withinn the hour. Do not worry abou* bringing gear, I have your equipmen** ready."

-Vanguard Cuyan Hulo
Kiel's large extended eyes blinked a few times as the massage terminated. With another press of his finger the small hand sized image of Cuyan shrunk back into Kiel's wrist device. My guess immediately means now He thought to himself as he started to swim faster in small circles. While using all six limbs Kiel started to build up enough speed that he needed. Just at the right moment Kiel reversed direction and swam up to the surface of the water launching himself out of the pool back on the deck. Right after landing on his feet and one hand he felt the cool air already starting to dry him. Regardless - he shook his body like a kath hound, letting the water splash off him. Change rooms were near by so Kiel wasted little time in getting back into his standard issued uniform. Kiel knew exactly where he was going too. Cuyan's quarters was almost impossible to miss. While walking down the Blue and gray lit hall, passed other busy Krath military personnel. Kiel found Cuyan's quarters, seeing few others already there before him.
"Heydo Boyos, mesa here as commanded" As soon as Kiel entered he noticed a nice looking blaster and sword on Cuyan's loadout belt. The only other person in the room Kiel knew there was just Cuyan. The Nautolan, and another; who Kiel could not identify by race. These two were both strangers to him. Kiel expected that the three of them would now be working together with Cuyan leading. No more pool for a little while Time to get back into gear. Kiel then awaited new briefing Cuyan spoke of. . .

One by one, the different soldiers filed into the office. Cuyan sized up each soldier, studying their features closely. His stellar strike team would consist of a Gungan, a Nautolan, and a Barabel. It sounded like the beginning to a bad joke...

He looked once again between them, before finally speaking. "Gentlemen. Consider your investigations complete. I have been tasked with retrieving some data critical to our cause. I've selected the three of you to accompany me on the mission. There will be danger! But with that danger comes the opportunity of glory. We will be infiltrating the Corleone Casinos, nestled in Bon Temps, a locality on Loedorvia. The job is twofold: Secure the data, and capture their ringleader. I'm afraid I don't have much else information to disclose. This mission will be highly improvised."

The Zabrak turns to his armory wall, and thought for a moment on the different weapons available. He then approached the wall, running his hand along the cool surface. Among the weapons on the rack were A280's, DLT-20a's, ELG-3A's, HSB-200 hold-out blaster pistols, Valken-38's, Wrist Casters, Vibroblades, Force Pikes, Combat Knives, and Ryyk Blades. Each piece of weaponry shined in the light, clearly pristine and well maintained. Woven in between the different weapons hanging on the wall were suits of Heavy Battle Armor, and suits of Battle Armor. All of the armors were a muted gray mixed with black throughout.

While still looking at his armaments, he motioned for the other three to come over. "Pick out what you'd like. However, all of you will be suited up in battle armor. You can't go wrong with ELG-3A's, you can't go wrong with a Valken-38 carbine. And I suggest all of you pack a hold-out pistol in case it gets hairy. Just make sure you don't pack too much heat, otherwise we'll draw too much attention to ourselves before we're ready to spring." He then grabbed a hold-out pistol himself and fastened it inside of his right boot, fitting snugly. He also grabbed a combat knife and fastened that one inside his left boot. Afterward, he walked to his desk and grabbed his helmet that completes his beskar'gam. He then put it on, clicking it in place, and adjusting the systems inside. The HUD sparked on and started initializing before returning to its idle state.

"Once you have finished gearing up, meet me above on the landing pad. We'll be taking a special ATR to our destination. Don't lollygag, I expect you all to meet me within the next fifteen minutes!" Cuyan then nodded toward the soldiers before stepping to the door leading to the outside. The door slid open and he made his way to the right of the scenic deck and up the stairway leading to the landing pad, which was directly overhead the office. He approached the ATR as the ramp lowered and stepped up into the vessel. He made his way to the cockpit, spoke to the pilot briefly, then returned back to the entrance of the vessel, awaiting the soldiers.

Kalzel only paid half a mind to Cuyan's words, his trained military mind filtering the less important words like 'consider', 'danger' or 'afraid'. His mind was already occupied by checking out his squadmates as well as running the usual possible mishaps that may occur and subsequently how to deal with them. Mental preparation was just as neccessary as a good physical condition. He blinked several times once he realized the Zabrak has stopped talking and moved over to the armory.

"Pick out what you'd like. However, all of you will be suited up in battle armor. "

Where's the fun in that?

Sighing slightly, Kalzel shook his head and approached the sets of weapons and armor lined on the wall. His name was cleared, so that was one less thing he had to worry about. Stretching his limbs he began examining the weapons one by one. He considered bringing an A280 but when fighting in a casino, a more close range oriented weaponry would be far more useful as well as safe. This was no frozen field on Csilla... He gripped one of the longer vibroblades, and gave it a few swings. Well-balanced, light and sturdy. Picking up the appropriate sheath as well, he fastened the medium sized blade to his belt. After some contemplation, he also stowed a HSB-200 into his pockets. Moving over to the armor racks, he put on the lightest combat armor he could find and threw his jacket back over the newly-added protective gear. He never understood the Mando preference for heavy armor. All it really did was slow them down. Throwing a few punches ending with an uppercut, he made sure the armor was fitting and restricted his movement as little as possible.

"That's better... Heading out folks. Meet you on the ATR."

Kalzel turned on his heel and left the office. Drumming a simple rhythm on the wall as he moved towards the exit, he smiled when he saw the outside for the first time in several weeks. It felt good to be back in action. Waltzing over to the waiting ATR, he knocked on the ramp and took a few steps back when it started its descent to the ground. Jumping aboard before the landing ramp touched the floor of the base, he saw Cuyan already waiting for him. Giving a mock salute, he put his hands on his hips as he eyed the Zabrak.

"'Sup. Do we care about collateral or...?"

He left the question trailing as he stared inquisitively at the armored commando.

Kiel was first relieved to hear that the past investigations were complete. The gungan gave his full attention to the briefing was from his is commanding officer. After Cuyan explained the details of the mission Kiel reflected upon it. He expected briefing to be a little longer. However the main points of our new mission were clear. It seemed Kiel would be acting as a 'counter spy' to another group of military persons just like them, though working for opposite goals. A simple understanding of the crew's goals, and a destination to where we were going; is all Kiel needed. The gungan cracked a smile from his soft beak when he heard that the mission would be initially an improvised operation. As well as a new opportunity to gain some glory. The risk was well worth it. Even though Kiel worked as a logistics piolet for a time it had not rusted his edge. Backed Krath military training. As well as training at a young age of martial arts with his Gungan brother warriors. This had prepared him to take on missions like this as an occupation. Soon came one of the most important part of forming our squad. What kinds of weapons and equipment we chose at this moment would make or break the squad in the future task.

Kiel twisted his long neck to look at the two other's just after seeing Cuyan leave the room to advance to the ship. He needed to act quickly with only 15 minutes to pack up and leave. When Kelzel first went for the weapon selection while Kiel approached the armor. As he grabbed piece by piece, attaching the armor to each part of his body. He felt somewhat compelled to say something to his new crew mates.
"It's good to be workin' with yousan both. Mesa Kail Danga" he said. Hand shakes and greeting gestures were unfortunately impossible as Kiel took all of his movement time to attach the armor to his uniform. It seemed both the uniform and the armor were designed to fit together and take apart. Lastly Kiel unplugged a power helmet from the cable that gave it energy. Then kept it under his arm. He now stood there slightly more bulk then before, with the black armor and stylish purple trim. It looked and smelled brand new and without a scratch. Now that Kiel had a full set of armor he saw that Kelzel had chosen his weapon. So, Kiel changed places with him so that He could now select weapons and Kelzel could armor up without worrying about bumping into a clumsy gungan.

Kiel began to gaze upon the small candy shop of weapons that were waiting to be picked up. "Ohhhhh moi moi..."

Stealth and infiltration were key in this mission. The first thing Kiel grabbed was the wrist caster. A nice hidden weapon that Kiel attached to his arm. One of the drawbacks to it was that to fire it, all you had to do was push a red button on the device. Just as easy as activating a personal communicator. This could make it accidently miss-fire one of his friends or his own hand. So, he made sure to power it down until time to battle when he would power it back up. When Kiel looked at the other projectile blaster in the spotlights he decided to grab the DLT 20. He was almost about to take the V38 for it's amazing hitting punch. However it was a little too big for Kiel. The DLT also had a nice stun setting and was typically used by police in times when riot would brake out. DLT 20 does just fine for Kiel. After grabbing the blaster he took some matching ammunition. Lastly he moved on to the melee weapons. All of them looked appealing to Kiel, but considering there were two members of the crew with vibroblades and combat knives. Kiel chose the sleek and curved Ryyk Blade. The larger blaster sat on Kiel's back after he stolen one of the shoulder straps from one of the A2-80s to fit it to his DLT20, while the Blade sat off his belt with the wrist caster hidden with his armor.

No more then seven minutes passed after Kiel gathered his equipment. He followed slightly behind Kalzel, outdoors up to the nearby landing pad. A stray gust of wind made his long ears flop around. As he walked he put on the slightly modified power helmet to secure them. The ATR looked like an interesting ship made by Koros Spaceworks. Very nice shields and weapons. Defiantly the right kind of ship for a mission like this. ATR's had a great ability to get troops in and out of trouble. Kiel was now at the landing pad with Cuyan and the ship. He could almost see the entire base from the place that they all stood.

Before going after the weapons and armor he decided to ask the question that he felt needed to be asked.

"So should I leave my Double-Bladed lightsaber here or take it with?" asked Saheen.

He then walked over after recieving no answer as Cuyan had left and thought about what weapons he wanted to take with. He fastened two combat knifes inside each boot after he put on his armor. He then grabbed two ELG-3A's and put them on his belt next to his lightsaber. He grabbed a A280 from the rack and put it on his back. He turned around to see that Kalzel had already left. He was relieved to see that he was working with two familiar faces and was curious about the Gungan. He walked to the ATR in silence and waited at the base of the ramp. He was eager to start the mission and eager to finish it too. He was still thinking about his missing father. He shook his head and walked up into the ship. He walked up to Kalzel and said.

"Greetings Kalzel, long time no see. How's it been going?" asked Saheen.

Turning to the Barabel, Kalzel's smile gradually widened into a ear-to-ear grin.

"Better and better. Would you believe it, I'm just about to crash a casino."

He then looked at Cuyan again, waited a few moments and waved his hand in front of the Zabrak's helmet several times.

Cuyan? Sukuy? Neervod? You there?

After all of the soldiers filed in, Cuyan looked them over once more. He then made his way over to the pilot, and gave a quick signal that they were ready to depart. As the pilot started fiddling with the controls, Cuyan made his way back into the central room of the ship. "Alright men, the trip to Loedorvia will take 2 days tops. Make yourself comfortable, get whatever meditation you need in now. Once we hit the atmosphere, it'll be a bumpy ride right to the casino. Now get yourself in a chair before you hit the back of the ship!" He then let out a hearty laugh as he made his way to a seat. He buckled himself in and started looking over his beskar'gam helmet. He produced a cloth from one of his cargo pockets and started polishing the helmet as the ship started creaking.

After a few short moments, the pilot yelled from the cockpit, "Buckle up! We're about to take off!" A few short moments passed and the ship bellowed upward and forward. The engines roared from behind and the thrusters from below pushed them off and into the upper atmosphere of Antar. The forces pushed down on everyone in the ship, possibly causing discomfort. The ship started flying faster and faster before the climactic break off of the ship reaching escape velocity. If one looked out the window, the orange atmosphere slowly faded out into blackness. Moments passed and the binary stars came into sight, filling the windows with an intense brightness. Immediately, one could feel the warm glow enter and consume their body. It wasn't heat, but warmth.

The ship's gravity generator then kicked in, restoring normality to the cabin as well as the rest of the ship. The forces pressed upon the men were now gone.

We'll only be in space for a round or two. Expect a fast forward after the next round. Sorry about the absence and short post. Been busy :x
