Sounds somewhat scripted there. "Click NPC, engage dialogue". Swipes aside.

"You may refer to me as Doctor Ibrams, I am merely a simple physician specialising in the art of medicine. Nothing more...I just seem to be in the midst of an excellent opportunity. Here on Demonsgate the great unworthy are finding themselves either changing their faith to the true deity or kekeke *he laughed slightly*...killed by the condition. Such a terrible shame I know but it must come to pass..."

He eyed the Cathar up and down, looking carefully at his eyes and hands.

"However you seem of sound body at least so clearly this does not afflict you now does it? So clearly there is another reason for you to visit my place of healing..."

I wasn't inspired that day, sorry, but I thought formal style was better suited to make the NPC talk, and that's what happened ;)

"-Very well observed, my new friend, Mr. Ibrams. I don't know about fevers of any sort, if that's what you want"

I gave him a smart look and grinned.

"-I am from Cathar and come here humbly, I have certain needs, do we understand each other? I am looking for what can't be seen,
in the name of some, but I think we can be friends, can't we?. I would like to be your friend."

Inspiration is good if it appears :). I think you a basic grasp of NPC interacting. I'd like you to now continue the conversation however you will be able to take control of the other NPC. Try to keep the character I have started with. Have a short bit of a conversation with the good doctor. I will allow you to converse and then next I will take over and move into the next step.

Then Dr. Ibrams said with a strange look on his face:

"Friends are something to be treasured.Do you know who my friends are? I like kind people, people who are kind to me. Are you being kind?"

I thought the good doctor was right, I hadn't been sufficiently kind:

"I like kind people too, kindness is a quality I respect. Let me offer you a token of my goodwill, dear doctor."

I slipped cirscunpectly a Nova crystal on top of the table and before I noticed, it had disappeared.

"I see we are beggining to reach an understanding. I can tell you what you are looking for is right before your eyes, but you can't see it, my friend."

I observed the store and saw a little door, on one side of the counter, probably leading to another room.

"See? Sometimes things are easier than they appear" said Ibrams with a smile.

"Indeed. I believe we now fully understand each other, doctor." I let slip a small chuckle and Ibrams looked at me ironically.

"Trust is a feeling I also believe should be preserved. I am in a good mood when there are trustful people around. People who you cannot trust do not deserve much. It makes the galaxy work. It keeps things together. Without it, we are utterly condemned. Without it, things are not what they should be. I hope I made myself sufficiently clear on this matter, and we can continue to understand us mutually."

"I think trust is important." said I, a bit nervous.[/b]

"Yes, you are right, it is important. You know, people who you can trust are the most precious thing on the galaxy. There are less chances for them to deceive you. And we wouldn't want that to happen, won't we? I don't trust people who talk too much. People who talk too much make mistakes more often. Are you talkative person, my friend?"

"Not that I know of" I told him what he wanted to hear.

"Good. I don't trust talkative people. Neither do I trust silent people. They talk too little, and when they do, they say the wrong kind of things. Do you trust silent people?" The doctor grinned lightly and I felt a shiver down my spine.

"I try not to, my friend" I was beginning to get impatient.

"That is perfect. So now, to make things clear, are you trustful person, friend?"

The doctor surely noticed my impatience, and I showed him my krath credentials with concealment.

"I see we finally have reached an understanding, my dear friend. I'll show you the way."

We entered the little door beside the counter, where some stairs went into the darkness.

Just to make things clear :D , this dialogue is loosely based in a book from Dashiell Hammet, the Maltese Falcon. It's a genius book and I like it, so I made my personal tribute to the writer.

Reality intervention...I hate it. Alright let's go for some basic combat interaction. Has to happen at some point. We start off with unmoderated combat. This means you have free control of both yours and your enemies actions and reactions. Try to be realistic of your combat abilities, I mean if you have zero projectile ability don't have every shot you make to be a critical head shot right between the eyes etc. Also as well be reasonable of shots and counterblows. Unless you have significant abilities or force techniques (which have yet to be assessed), you are not immortal either.

This scenario has no continuity on the previous scenario and is deemed entirely separate.

The two thugs had managed to board Iorus' vessel. Iorus was fortunate enough to catch them off guard though, the pair of them were working their way through various cabinets on his ship. From what he could see, they appeared lizardlike in face and body, dark scaled skin and slightly webbed hands as they looked around.

"Interessssting loot here brrrrother." One of them hissed, hitching up his robe revealing a blaster as he grabbed for another bag, trying to move a Krathian artefact.

"Indeed. Worthy of a fine price at the marketssss" the other hissed in response, also armed as he was seen breaking a cabinet open with a swift blow from a metal bar.

You have the element of surprise. You have control over yours and their reactions. This is a combat exercise though, you are not talking your way out of this one! Just because it is combat though does not mean you have to use a gun or weapon and there are other ways to deal with ones enemies ;)

I was hiding behind a pile of crates, sweating with fear. Two lizardlike creatures had boarded my ship and wanted to rob me. I told to myself "First thing I need is to calm down." It wasn't very easy to do with the thugs around and shouting, but I took a deep breath and started to think. "What could I do with my surroundings?" I just saw the crates behind me, but I knew that ship very well. Every corridor, every door.

I pushed the crates in manner they fell on the two assaulters, and in the confusion, I ran for the door, while the two of them were trying to get a hang on what had happened. I got out of the ship onto the warehouse it was being stationed. Before getting out, I activated the defense systems of the ship, on a panel that was on the wall. Bless Krath for that! The ship closed automatically, leaving both of the thugs inside, trapped.

I used my intercommunicator to call my Krath brothers after that, and they should take care of them.
