Re: Keeto Tavern (IC Café RP thread)
Kal watched as the sphere known as Shesherile 6 grew in his forward viewport. This would be his first visit to the world, but would likely not be his last. Kal stared out the eyeslot of his durasteel mask as the planet continued to steadilly grow until it filled the ship's viewport. The smell of coolant and cleaner hung in the air like a thin veil on a maiden's face, while Kal made the final preparations to land. After a quick search he found a decent landing bay attached to a tavern and began his decent. The clouds billowed and raced out of the way as Kal's YT-2000 cut a path through toward the ground below. After a short while the ship burst forth from the clouds as if the sky had birthed it and Kal adjusted his vectors to bring the ship to land near a carbon scorred Delta JV-7 escort shuttle.
Kal raised himself erect in the cokpit ducking to avoid hitting his head on the overhead instrumentation and turned to leave the cockpit. The ship was new to Kal and had not recieved the adjustments nessicary to acomidate his 2. 8 meter frame. Kal walked to the cargo lift and lowered himself down to the deck and after consulting a labor droid for refueling made his way to the tavern. A light breeze blew his coal black cloak and robes breifly revealling the jet black armor that lay beneath, as he walked to the entrance of the tavern and depressed the button to open the door. His Rykk blade slapped against his back as he stooped through the entrance way and stood to view the crowded room. His eye's didn't need to adjust he was acustomed to darkness. He had spent enough time in deep space to make others wonder if any other life existed, and at times like this surounded by unknown beings he sometimes longed for a return to the cold vacuum of "the black."
Kal carfully picked his way through the crowd not wanting trouble from a drunken patron and seated himself at the bar. The peircing red gaze of the facilities barman found him and the blue skinned being moved closer, and though Kal was sitting, looked up at his masked visage and asked:
Are you going to order or what?
Must this one? Kal replied his deep musical voice seeming to confuse the Chiss ever so slightly.
Only if you want to stay. The barman replied
Very well. Give this one the standard drink ordered by your other patrons, please. Kal understood the Chiss was concerned with his profits like many other beings in the galaxy, but he was hard pressed to know the social nuanaises and customs of the various places he'd been.
The barman walked off and returned with a brownish liquid with a slightly sweet smell and placed it on the bar in front of Kal. Kal reached into the pouch of his belt and produced a credit chip and handed it to the Chiss.
Thank you, this one is pleased. Kal said trying to be cordial, but his only response from the Barman was a grunt as he turned to take care of a different patron. Kal stared at the drink and decided to listen to the conversations around the bar and see if he could pick up some news as to who and what was of intrest in the area.

Noticing the tall Mandalorian enter, Dave Zahoff stops briefly to look over his fellow Vod, and recognizes this one is as dangerous on the ground as Dave would think he is in the air. He continues his conversation with the pilots first, though; "No body told me of any rules, only factors to take into account. Some are more important than others. Who, or--more importantly--what do you fly for?"

his 2nd taped his shoulder, interrupting his work, and pointed at the tall guy and his not-so-concealed armourment. not at all scared, correlians do shoot first after all, he called out "at mate, don't see lads like you round here much, what group you shoot for?"

"Qardin, I didn't see you there, sit on down and brink your drink. Hows logistics? Should have figured that ship was yours, makes sense." The Admiral replied, as Qardin was stirring his glass.
Qardin grinned and took his seat. He replied to Grevendar's questions as if they were asked by an old friend.
Logistics! he sighed with gladness A department too my heart! Couldn't have been better with Correl as the person to give my orders. He introduced me into the Krath like I've been here for a long time.
And well, about that JV, I was lucky, i won it at a gamble. Qardin winked. does your ship have a story? He asked, smiling at The Admiral.
Qardin took a sip of his rum, staring at The Admiral through his shades.

Chuckling slightly at the nervousness of the Mandalorian Correl relents and smiles,"Logistics is mine to run, this here is..um..my pilot..um appointed body and mind guard." Sticking his tongue out at the Klatoonian at the last part of the statement.
"And what of you? Seeing as you have entered a place looking as if your going to war...well except for the mostly missing arms. Yes I know Mandalorians, never without some form of weaponry, even if it is an explosive that could take out a city!" Correl smiles and laughs at the last, but then sighs and looks around the room nervously, "I also see a lot of others of your type here, would you know why so many in one place? It does have me a bit nervous to be flying in this one, with so many men of war."

"There's a lot of us here about. I know the Admiral personally, and have heard of the tall one. Don't worry though, we're really quite tame--most of the time. I'm Navy myself, so that may explain to you why there's so many of us here. You on a run?"

Correl sighs,"Yeah I know the Admiral as well, although wish it was under better conditions that first time!" He finishes with a laugh. "It was an interesting run that was done, but me being a 'hotshot' screwed up on the op, mind you not badly, but enough so that I ran late to get it over with." Correl looks down again and sighs.
A sarcastic laugh comes from the large Klatoonian companion Correl is with,"No boss you got you butt handed to you by the Admiral at the time. And I never had to say anything as the Admiral did that himself." Still laughing Arlunia takes a drink from the full mug in front of her and sighs in pleasure.
At her description of the run Correl seems to hunch even more and looks to be trying to keep out of sight of the Admiral.

Kal watched with genuine intrest as the many new faces greeted and conversed. It was odd how they seemed to be so free with eachother a familiarity that gnawed at something inside of hime a memory perhaps aching to rise to the surface. Kal tried to concentrate and will the feeling to yeild results but to no avail his memory of his life before and after meeting his Mandalorian instructor just wasn't coming back. Kal sighed to himself and returned to the reality that he may never know.
This one is glad to meet you all, and Correl should not be ashamed of losing to the admiral. He would not be an admiral if just anyone could be his better. Does everyone meet here often?
